On the Pisces Personality …

“Don’t wait for the stars to align, reach up and rearrange them the way you want … create your own constellation.”

~ Pharrell Williams

I believe in astrology, which is not to be confused with astronomy. Astrology is considered a “pseudoscience that claims to divine information about terrestrial events and human affairs by studying the movements and relative positions of celestial objects.” (Wikipedia) “In contemporary Western astrology, it is linked with systems of horoscopes that purport to explain aspects of a person’s personality and predict significant events in their lives based on the positions of these celestial objects.” (Wikipedia) When scientists and researchers successfully challenged the theoretical and experimental methods of astrology, they found it to have no scientific validity and it lost its academic standing. Yet, it’s so accurate not because the stars and planets influence things, but because they are markers of time and allow the cycle in which we were born to be understood. All things considered, I’m a big-time follower.

I also believe strongly in the zodiac, which is a belt of the heavens that extends about eight degrees north or south of the ecliptic, including all positions of the sun, moon, and planets. The zodiac is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Cancer and Pisces. Born February 24th, I’m a Pisces, and over the years I’ve studied the traits of a Pisces and I have to say, both the good and the bad are pretty right on point!

Pisces are symbolized by two fish connected by a cord held in their mouths swimming in opposite directions. This signifies their impulse to make one decision then go with the total opposite decision. Some say it explains their wishy-washy nature, but I’m sure they’d prefer to consider themselves indecisive. A water sign characterized by empathy, they are mutable, or changeable and chameleon-like, and likely to be flexible on views. Highly sensitive and romantic, they tend to be introverts, inspirational, unworldly, and dreamy. With Neptune being their ruling planet, they tend to be more intuitive, have an artistic talent, and are connected to music, even at an early age. Often reclusive, they tend to retreat into their own world where peace and quiet can be had. Known as the poets of the zodiac, they are also thought be the most tolerant. Blindly loyal and very caring, they are known for their charity, kindness, helpfulness, compassion, and hard-working nature.

I believe that the stars do align – or not – in a cosmic sort of way when two signs link up. As a Pisces, I have done what the astrologers warn against … I’ve dated not only one, but two Pisces men in my lifetime; one early in my life and one late in my life and I fell deeply in love with both those men. Regardless of the similarities, for me, there’s nothing like love from a Pisces man! Intense, strong, devoted and highly sensual. The attraction and emotional connection I experienced with these men was through the roof and unlike anything I felt with any other astrological sign. I long for that type of connection again and without even realizing it, I seek out Pisces traits in all the men I meet.

Trust me, Pisces are difficult to figure out and even more challenging to date, but the endless inspiration they give, loyalty they offer, and bond that is formed when the right match is made, for me, is unbeatable. With their sensitive, attentive, and thoughtful nature, the sky’s the limit with regard to the type of emotion they can evoke within you. Although prone to stray when not kept interested or stimulated, remaining open and honest goes a long way in gaining their trust. Keeping the lines of communication flowing, in and out of bed, is a sure way to capture their heart.

I know I’m a little biased, but I’m soft on the spirit of Pisces men, women, and children. Sure, I could break down each astrological sign by their best attributes and make you fall in love with them too, but that’s not what’s on my heart right now. What I am attempting to do is introduce you to the zodiac by highlighting those born under the sign of Pisces.

I hope you’ve acquired some insight on the zodiac and that your interest has been piqued with regard to your interest in your own horoscope, causing you to consider doing your own investigation on its accuracy. Regardless of the scientific data, I believe that the traits detailed about each sign has merit, although not failproof. Look at your horoscope or that of someone you know intimately and assess whether or not the description fits the bill. Whether you believe in the astrology or not, it can lead to some entertaining findings!

  1. I am a believer in zodiac signs. I am a Leo and everything I read about Leo’s is spot on with myself. What’s even more interesting is my love match. I’ve been with my love for 21 years, Scorpio & Leo match!! Did I know anything about Scorpio’s years ago, no, but I do now!! You have to dabble around and see what works. Sometimes what you think works, doesn’t. Nice read!! I look forward to reading more.

    • I make it a point of always researching the compatibility of the sign for any man that I consider dating. That is a prerequisite for me. In my opinion, the language of love begins within the stars and I trust in their predictions. I’m so happy to hear you found your match in a Scorpio and that your mind was open enough to read this blog. Thank you for your support!

  2. Pisces men … I will leave this beautiful species of mankind for you and other woman. I have learned that pisces men help my blood pressure rise.

It is wonderful when you find what works for you… True indeed ! Love is king!

    • Everyone’s experience is different. The stars align differently for each of us and it’s okay if a Pisces man doesn’t work for you. They work for me. It’s all about knowing what works for us and what doesn’t. I wish you luck in finding what works for you.
